Every professional journey has a beginning.

Mine certainly didn’t begin with the expectation that I would one day become the founder of a migration & appeals practice or spend my career helping people navigate Australia’s migration system.

After completing my Master’s degree in Translation and Interpreting at Macquarie University, I entered the migration profession almost by chance. What began as an unexpected opportunity quickly became work that felt deeply meaningful.

Behind every application I worked on was a real person.

• A family hoping to stay together.
• A skilled professional building a future.
• A business looking to grow.
• Or someone facing uncertainty after receiving a visa refusal.

It didn’t take long to realise that migration was never simply about legislation.

It was about people.

Wanting to better serve my clients, I later completed further studies in Australian Immigration Law at the Australian National University, giving me the legal foundation to handle increasingly complex migration matters.

Over the years I’ve been fortunate to work with clients from countless cultures, industries and backgrounds. Every matter has taught me something new—not only about migration law, but about resilience, determination and the extraordinary journeys people take in pursuit of a better future.

Those experiences eventually led me to establish HECT Migration & Appeal Experts.

My vision was simple.

To create a practice where people felt heard.

Where strategy was thoughtful.

Where advice was honest.

And where every client was treated with the care and respect they deserved.

Today, while migration remains a significant part of my professional life, it represents something much bigger than visas.

It represents opportunity.

Community.

Belonging.

And the privilege of helping people build new chapters in their lives.
